A sweet Sunday three weeks after Walker was born, I drove down to San Diego to photograph a newborn session for Mackenzie and Kevin. It was a perfect day, even by San Diego standards. Mild temperatures, beautiful clouds in the sky, and a cuddly newborn ready to make his modeling debut!
My favorite newborn sessions are ones in the home. In these sleep-deprived first weeks, its comforting to be in a familiar place and with all the essentials within reach! We can quickly grab sentimental items, swap out clothing, change diapers, feed with privacy all while being in the comfort of your own home.
Mackenzie and Kevin’s master bedroom is designer perfect with a big king sized bed and white linen fabrics. The sun glowed beautifully through this space and make for the perfect setting to get cozy into these newborn photographs!
After shooting indoors, we went out to their back yard and found this beautiful tree to take a few outdoor pictures. I cam imagine some wonderful family picnics in this exact spot once Walker gets a bit older!
Sweet little Walker has grown a lot since this session which makes these photographs even more special. Enjoy!
