When Tom and Devon texted me that they were expecting twins I was floored! And even better yet, they were due right around my own birthday in April.
I’ve been friends with Tom and Devon for a long time, watching them walk through many phases of life. From dating long-distance, to buying their first house, getting engaged, their epic wedding in Sun Valley, Idaho, to now becoming parents! It’s a wonderful journey to watch and now photograph. Earlier this year I photographed their sweet maternity session in a eucalyptus forest and I was honored to be invited back to document their newborn session.
Photographing newborns has become a recent favorite of mine. Give me all the newborn cozy cuddles - and twin means double the cuddles!
Devon had a specific request that she wanted pictures of the twins with the grandparents which was such a meaningful idea. I love that I was able to capture these precious moments not only for them, but for their parents too. Knowing that these photos will be looked at and treasured for decades to come is what fills my photographer heart with so much joy. It reminds me of how much I look back to my baby photos when I’m remembering my own grandparents, and seeing their love for me shine through the photograph.
Thanks again Tom and Devon for letting me part of such a special time in your life. Also, can we just admire how cute babies look all cuddles up in a basket!
