Tom and Devon are dear friends of mine. I met Tom on Craigslist back in the day when I needed to find a roommate to take over a lease. Many years later, he and his now wife are now expecting twin babies! By the time I write this post they will be almost 6 months old, but let’s pretend they are still on the inside :)
The Eucalyptus Grove in Lake Forrest is one of my favorite hidden gems in SoCal! It’s a unique landscape, only native to a few regions, and also very neutral. Doesn’t the bokeh of the leaves makes for such a beautiful textured backdrop!? Devon requested a neutral, natural landscape for their session that wasn’t the beach, and this ended up being perfect!
Another benefit to this park is there are hardly any other people around, so we had it mostly to ourselves. Their dogs, Rocky and Brodie, couldn’t contain their excitement were very energetic during the session which was adorable and fun to document. They are very photogenic pups!
We spent almost two hours shooting together, and then getting dinner after and had a blast! I loved editing these and seeing how Devon’s dress pops against the background - doesn’t Devon look amazing!?
